Food safety and quality policy

 

ALCOHOLES DE TOMELLOSO, S.A. (ALTOSA) as an organisation dedicated to the PROCESSING (BLENDING, CLARIFICATION, FILTRATION, STABILISATION) OF WHITE, ROSE, RED WINE PACKAGED IN GLASS BOTTLES, BAG IN BOX AND SHIPPED IN BULK. AGEING OF RED AND WHITE WINES IN BARRELS, is committed to achieving the following general objectives:

  • The establishment and maintenance of a documented Quality and Food Safety System, which helps to continuously improve the quality and food safety of all the activities carried out and the products provided, as well as the aforementioned Management System.

  • To produce safe, legal, sustainable and authentic products, in accordance with the specified quality, as well as to avoid the risk of fraud, analysing the vulnerability of all raw materials, packaging and subcontracted processes to avoid it; establishing the appropriate measures and including the development of a mitigation plan to avoid fraud in its marketed products and carrying out the corresponding follow-up and responding to our customers in the event of any query or possible liability.

  • To promote and maintain a flow of information and communication both point of view of Food Quality and Safety.internally between the different areas or hierarchical levels involved in the production and provision of the service and externally with our stakeholders, from the

  • To meet applicable food safety requirements, including legal and regulatory requirements and requirements mutually agreed with our customers related to food safety and quality, assuming any responsibility for non-compliance towards our customers.

 

  • To prevent possible deficiencies, shortcomings and anomalies in terms of food quality and safety that may arise in the course of daily activities.

 

  • To disseminate a culture of Quality and Food Safety at all levels of the Organisation, through the training, awareness and continuous coaching of our staff in all the activities they carry out, related to the food safety of our products and services and, in the same way, to guarantee the competences of our employees related to quality and food safety.

 

The achievement of these objectives will ensure the continuity of our organisation, its growth, its improvement and the future of all of us. This is why I request the active collaboration and participation of all ALTOSA staff in the development of the activities defined in the Quality and Food Safety Management System.

This policy is an integral element of ALTOSA’s business, provides a framework for setting and reviewing the objectives of the Quality and Food Safety Management System and is disseminated to all staff so that it is understood and applied, and is available to our relevant stakeholders in order to maintain and consolidate the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
